At Vintage Wings and Wheels Museum, we are dedicated to sharing our passion and knowledge of aviation and transportation history with students and adults alike in Boone County, Winnebago County, and the surrounding area. We offer a variety of programs both inside and outside the classroom, specifically targeted for schools, home-school groups, Scout troops, and adult learning programs. We are also willing to develop programs, museum visits, and lectures for your next meeting or social event. 2012 Scholarship Applications now available!
The Poplar Grove Aviation Education Association and Vintage Wings & Wheels Museum is pleased to announce the availability of scholarships to students currently or intending to enroll in an aviation or automotive education program. The recipients must intend to utilize the training to become a professional in the aviation/automotive industry including maintenance and the education program must result in a degree or FAA certificate.
The following is required to apply for a scholarship (please retain a copy for your file)
-- A typed or computer printed essay detailing personal interests and goals, previous activities, how the current training will help you meet your goals and any other pertinent information
-- Three letters of reference
-- Applicants applying for pilot ratings must provide evidence of having passed a medical appropriate to the rating.
Before the scholarships are awarded the applicant may be required to attend an interview with the Selection Committee.
